ONLINE ASSESSMENT- CAREERS THAT MATCH YOUR SPECIFIC SKILLS

SKILLS:  If you are to have an impactful, enjoyable, and high paying career you need to become very good at a skill that is deemed reasonably unique, important, and in demand by society.  You then look out into the world and find a solution to a significant societal problem.  Use your important skill to solve this societal problem. This is your big/small goal. Below is an article discussing important skills

NOTE ON SKILLS:  The two assessments you are about to complete primarily focus on your current skills. It is certainly possible you are NOT VERY GOOD AT ANY IMPORTANT SKILL. In a previous unit we discussed the 10,000 hour rule. As a benchmark, it takes 10,000 hours to develop a skill of real importance. Understanding your current skills can provide valuable feedback as to what skills you wish to develop. Below is an article that discusses what skills will make you the most employable

Skills Profiler:
You are going to use the Skills Profiler to create a list of your skills and match them to job types that actually use those skills.

The Skills Profiler  is a self-assessment tool that will help you develop a profile of your own skills. You probably have  a fairly good understanding of your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to abilities and skills. This skills tool provides a structured system to objectively profile your skills and then comparing your skill set to over 1000 careers. You probably know what you are  good at – you just may not know how good, or what that means in terms of choosing a career.

The Skills Profiler takes you through over 30 work-related skill areas and will assist you in developing a profile and understanding of your strengths and weaknesses. It will then link  your skills profile to matching careers.

2 SKILLS TESTS– You might ask why is Matt having me take 2 similar skills tests?  Good question.  This is the reason why.

Skill Test #1-  Allows you to rate your skills

Skill Test #2-  Does not allow you to rate your skills but may deliver more career results.  The skills tests only take a few minutes to complete so you are not wasting your time.

Skill Test #1 – Directions are self-explanatory.  Just input your skills and at the end will get a list of matching careers. If career is of interest input into “Master List of Mission & Goals You Love”

Skill Test #2–  Directions are self-explanatory.  Just checkmark your skills in box below.  At the end you will get a list of matching careers.  If career is of interest input into “Master List of Mission & Goals Your Love”.  You can use the back button to navigate between pages.  You can reload this unit to start the Skills Search again.

ACTION ITEM:  You now know the definition of an “Important Skill”, understand what skills make you most employable, and have completed your skills/career match.  If a new CAREER, BIG GOAL, SMALL GOAL seems like a fit after absorbing content of this unit- add it to your “Master List Of Careers & Goals You Love”. If a CAREER, BIG GOAL, SMALL GOAL no longer seems like a fit after completing unit- remove it from your “Master List Of Careers & Goals You Love”. Put some real thought into this… I purposely designed this eCourse to take 15-20 days. You can go to the next unit after successfully completing this unit and a certain amount of time has passed. Every day you will complete from 1-3 units and will spend 30-180 minutes. If next unit not available, wait 24 hours and it will be available. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FILL OUT UNIT FEEDBACK FORM

CLIENT FEEDBACK: I WILL READ YOUR FEEDBACK-IT IS NOT A WASTE OF YOUR TIME. I NEED THOUGHTFUL COMMENTS TO IMPROVE THE COURSE FOR YOU AND OTHERS. PLEASE FILL OUT BELOW
